14 So the Lord God said to the serpent: "Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel."
In these powerful words, God pronounced judgment on the serpent - on Satan Himself. Verse 15 states that the Redeemer to come will "bruise" his head, even though he made the attempt to kill Jesus. But, Jesus, because death could not hold Him, rose from the dead, defeating the power of sin and death, and obtaining a victory in which Christian believers can walk. This amazing story has its share of drama and intrigue, but in the end, Jesus paid a penalty that we owed but could not pay and brought us into a saving knowledge of Himself.

8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
There is a young filmmaker who recognizes the amazing story of Jesus and how He has come to reconcile us with God. Her name is Anna Brown, and she has written a musical called, HIS STORY: THE MUSICAL. The Movieguide website shares some of the backstory:
After a mission trip to Africa as a 16-year-old, Anna heard the Broadway musical HAMILTON for the first time. The article notes that that Willie and Korie Robertson of Duck Dynasty have signed on as producers, and relates:
Shortly after, Anna began to write songs for a musical that tells the story of Jesus in a unique, vibrant and multi-genre style.
After the release of her studio album in 2019, HIS STORY: THE MUSICAL will hit the live stage in May, 2023.
Korie recently told Movieguide® how excited her and her husband were to support Anna’s project after watching a workshop version of the musical.Anna is now 21, and her enthusiasm for the project seems to continue to grow. She says: “It hasn’t changed, but it’s definitely deepened,” adding, “Just over the last few years especially, seeing how crazy the world has gotten, and how much the world has been through together… I’ve seen so many people dealing with so much anxiety and depression and it’s gotten so dark at points,” she said. “But for me, I’ve been able to keep a stable peace. I know that’s because of our relationship with Jesus and my faith.” She adds:
“It was just this beautiful, creative, artistic way of showing Jesus and his disciples and the life he lived,” she said. “All these things that you read about the Bible just came to life, even just on an iPhone, just imagining what that’s gonna look like on the stage really brought us to tears.”
“If anything, just seeing everything the last couple of years, it’s really made my passion grow for getting this message out because I know how much His story changed my life, the story of the gospel, and I just want more people to be able to experience that as soon as possible.”The debut of the musical is scheduled for May 5, 2023 at The Broadway Tent at Grandscape in Colony, Texas.
We can recognize that God's story is a life-changing story. Jesus changed the course of history, and His story, as it's been pointed out, is our story, as well. Because of what He has done, He has brought us into the Kingdom of God, and we are all participants in that glorious story. He has taken our past, wiped away our sins, and given us a bright future. The trajectory of our lives can be changed because our story is now His!
