4 And Jesus answered and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives you.
5 For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.
6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

They have been called the "Four Horseman of the Apocalypse," and we find global catastrophe that will be poured out during the time period known as the Tribulation Period. In Revelation 6, I want to pay attention to the third and fourth horses:
5 When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come and see." So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine."
7 When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, "Come and see."
8 So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth.
The advance of the agenda that has come to be known as the "Great Reset," contributing to the establishment of global control using fear and intimidation, continues, and in some cases, pushback is inevitable. The attempts to use these tactics has some very real-world consequences, including impacting the world's food supply.
Consider the situation in the Netherlands, described on the Newsweek website last week:
Over 30,000 Dutch farmers have risen in protest against the government in the wake of new nitrogen limits that require farmers to radically curb their nitrogen emissions by up to 70 percent in the next eight years. It would require farmers to use less fertilizer and even to reduce the number of their livestock. While large farming companies have the means to hypothetically meet these goals and can switch to non-nitrogen-based fertilizers, it is impossible for smaller, often family-owned farms. The new environmental regulations are so extreme that they would force many to shutter, including people whose families have been farming for three or four generations. In protest, farmers have been blockading streets and refusing to deliver their products to supermarket chains. It's been leading to serious shortages of eggs and milk, among other food items.
The target here: the world's food supply. Under the guise of protecting the earth, the globalist agenda is threatening to set off a worldwide food shortage that will result in more crisis and more attempts to control a frightened public. The Newsweek story, by economics professor Ralph Schoellhammer, states:
...the effects will be global. The Netherlands is the world's second largest agricultural exporter after the United States, making the country of barely 17 million inhabitants a food superpower. Given global food shortages and rising prices, the role of Dutch farmers in the global food chain has never been more important. But if you thought the Dutch government was going to take that into account and ensure that people can put food on the table, you would be wrong; when offered the choice between food security and acting against "climate change," the Dutch government decided to pursue the latter.
At the American Thinker website, Monica Showalter writes:
So now we see another yellow vest–style revolt, and the backlash is big. It's similar to what we saw in France and Canada not long ago. None of these earlier protests had much effect, but these revolts keep coming, and that may well be because of the rising numbers of failure of these greenie policies.
We all saw what greenie policies did in Germany, leaving it with sky-high sixfold increases in electricity prices, blackouts, and reportedly even water-rationing in Hamburg, which happened when they foolishly got rid of their nuclear power plants, got themselves dependent on Russia for energy, found themselves Putin's puppet, and now are paying the price. We know what happened when Sri Lanka's entire economy collapsed on greenie organic policies, which destroyed the agricultural sector. We know what happened in Texas when the state found itself dependent on wind power for heat during a winter freeze. The message gets louder and louder.
Also, at the American Thinker, Thomas Lifson writes:
Sri Lanka foolishly signed on to the green initiative in farming, going organic and limiting the importation and use of chemical fertilizers. Food production, including tea, a vital export earner of foreign exchange, collapsed, and now the government is broke, people are hungry. He adds, "But it is not just third world countries that are experiencing mass revolts against top-down green policies. Farmers in Holland, in open revolt against government plans to destroy their livelihoods by limiting nitrogen application for fertilizer, are tying up that country’s roads and cities. And the revolt is spreading to Germany, Italy, Spain, and Poland."
I will say I am concerned by the destruction of property that is being seen in Sri Lanka and the Netherlands, because that could be counterproductive to the message. But, the message is sound, and its a repudiation of the Great Reset, which seeks to establish a new global system in the hands of global elites - a tribute to humanism and rejection of God's principles.
World events are unfolding according to Scriptures, so we can adopt a posture that we will not be afraid. We can continue to trust in a sovereign God, who is dedicated to preserving His Church and using the Church to win other people to Him. In times of desperation, people will seek answers, and I believe that they are doing that today. So, we can continue to look to the heavens, where our help comes from, according to the Psalms.
